From the airport to Ancona
Ancona is served by the Raffaello Sanzio Airport of Falconara, located at about 12 km from the city and connected to Ancona by the J-line bus (see timetable), which departs from the airport terminal (it is a small one, easy to find), stops at the train station and in Ugo Bassi Square. In order to reach any destination within the city limits, (the university or the hotels), step down at the train station and and change to one of the city lines.

There are many bus lines which connect the train station to the centre, with frequent service during the day and still running at late night.

Line N. 4. Route: Piazza Cavour (the main square of Ancona), terminus; Corso Garibaldi; Promenade; train station (warning: it stops at the corner of Viale G. Bruno, see map); Piazza Ugo Bassi; university (terminus of Tavernelle). Frequent service. In order to reach the bus tsop near the train station, at the corner of Viale G. Bruno, cross the square in front of the station (Piazza Fratelli Rosselli), walk towards the centre for about 100 m and turn right in Viale G. Bruno. You will see the bus stop after few metres. The travel time from the city centre to Tavernelle is about 20 minutes and from the train station about 10 minutes. From the end-station of Tavernelle (under an overpass), you then walk by Via Ranieri towards the Engineering college (about 10') or you can take the shuttle, Bus N. 45, which stops right in front of the main entrance of the Enineering college. During certain hours in daytime, there is also Bus N. 1/4, which departs from Passetto (Piazza 4 Novembre, about 1 km beyond P.zza Cavour), and the repeats the route of Line N.4, and which stops also right in front of the train station, besides stopping at the corner of Viale G. Bruno.
